Julia Bubendorf, Staff Writer
Julia Bubendorf is a sophomore at Becton Regional High School. She originally is from Garfield, but moved to East Rutherford to begin her high school career. Julia feels like she is part of a genuinely positive community at Becton. The transition from knowing everyone in town to knowing no one was a new experience for her, but it helped Bubendorf grow and become a more vulnerable version of herself that she is able to explore, create, and express. She says with comfort, “I feel like it is a safe space and people don’t judge who you are here.” A safe space is exactly what Bubendorf needs to jumpstart her musical career. In her free time, Bubendorf enjoys playing her guitar and writing music. She has been developing her music career by posting covers on her Instagram. This also goes hand-in-hand with why she joined the Cat’s Eye View. Bubendorf feels as though this new experience will help her have a more creative perspective when writing music as well as give her an additional public platform!
