The Junior Class has been working hard to raise money for this year’s Las Vegas-themed Prom, with several fundraisers planned throughout February and March. These efforts are focused on covering major expenses while helping keep Prom ticket prices as affordable as possible for students.
Prom planning is being led by the Junior Class Prom Committee, with guidance from Prom Committee advisors Ms. Polmann and Ms. O’Driscoll. Together, they are organizing fundraising events to support costs such as the DJ, decorations, photographer, and other activities that help make Prom a memorable experience.
Fundraisers began earlier in the year and will continue through March. Events include Movie Night, Glitz & Goals, Ultimate Frisbee, Battle of the Grades, and potential after-school healthy snack sales. Each fundraiser contributes toward the overall goal of raising between $5,000 and $10,000.
“Every fundraiser helps us get one step closer to creating a Prom night filled with great food, music, and unforgettable memories,” Ms. O’Driscoll said.
This year’s Prom theme is Las Vegas, with an expected attendance of at least 250 students. One of the most anticipated features of the night is the photo booth, which has been a favorite at past proms.
Prom permission slips will be due the week of April 20. Ticket sales have not started yet and are scheduled to take place from April 27 through May 1. Students are encouraged to keep an eye out for announcements regarding ticket sales to ensure they do not miss important dates or information.
Students planning to bring outside guests must submit a permission slip, provide a copy of the guest’s photo ID, and ensure the guest brings their ID to Prom. Ticket prices are expected to be $150 or more, depending on the total funds raised through ongoing fundraising efforts.
As planning continues, students are encouraged to support Junior Class fundraisers and stay informed through school announcements to help make this year’s Las Vegas-themed Prom a success.
