Athletic Director Mr. Paladino enjoys Becton atmosphere

Though the students here at Becton are very familiar with the faces they see in the hallways on a daily basis, there are a few members of our staff that work best behind the scenes. One of those members is Becton’s new athletic director, Mr. Paladino.

Mr. Paladino previously worked at Hackensack High School for thirty six years as an athletic director and is currently a wrestling official in the winter. Being involved in the Vietnam War put a pause on his career path, yet the new staff member did not allow this to hinder his success. He later went on to earn a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees at Montclair State University.

Throughout high school and college, Mr. Paladino was involved in numerous sports and activities and noted that his new position on the Becton staff “seemed like a natural fit.” Although our new athletic director completes a majority of his responsibilities behind the scenes, Mr. Paladino has made it clear that he thoroughly enjoys any time spent working with the coaches, staff, and students. He also stated that his “interactions with everyone here have been nothing but positive.”

When he is not assisting the athletic coordinator, Ms. Giancaspro, or working with Becton coaches to better the athletic program, Mr. Paladino can be found playing golf or watching his favorite professional golfer, Bubba Watson.
Mr. Paladino is truly looking forward to spending time at Becton, a place that he describes as a “friendly and welcoming atmosphere.”
