Prom 2025 was held on June 11 at The Park Savoy Estate in Florham Park, where students celebrated the end of the school year with elegance, laughter, and a night full of unforgettable moments.
The Paris-themed celebration, organized by junior class advisors Ms. Polmann and Ms. Calasso, and Student Activities Coordinator, Ms. Jessica O’Driscoll, blended thoughtful planning, stunning décor, and joyful student energy into an enchanting evening.
The planning process, as Ms. Polmann explains, begins long before the school year even starts. “The bulk of the planning takes place from September all the way through prom night,” she shares. “Because venues are difficult to secure—especially as our student population grows—Mrs. O’Driscoll books the venue during the summer of the year prior. Once school begins, the junior advisors—myself and Ms. Calasso—organize approximately 20 fundraisers to help cover the costs of prom.”
In addition to fundraisers, Ms. Polmann also coordinated the Prom Committee, a group of juniors who met monthly to weigh in on every detail, “We select the theme, design the invitations, choose dinner and cocktail hour options, brainstorm fundraiser ideas, plan decorations, finalize music selections—the list goes on.”

While this year’s prom differed from last year mainly in its elegant Parisian theme, some key traditions remained. “We continue to use the same DJ: Jimmy Hemp Productions, photographer: C&G Photo Video Productions, and event decorator: Bling My Party Rentals, every year,” says Ms. Polmann.
“All are reliable, punctual, and incredibly creative. Having a team we can trust makes everything run smoother. I’m especially grateful for our decorator, Janet, who consistently takes our ideas and turns them into a stunning and effortless reality.”
Transforming the venue into a dreamy Paris escape was no small feat. “One of the biggest challenges is always the layout—how to place all the decorations thoughtfully,” Ms. Polmann explains. “This year, student-crafted art lined the venue like the streets of Paris. For the seating chart, we recreated the Love Lock Bridge with student names attached to decorative locks. The ballroom opened with a glowing ‘PARIS’ sign, a life-size Eiffel Tower, and each table featured elegant Eiffel Tower and pearl centerpieces.”
A charming Parisian café scene—complete with tea cups, pastries, a vintage bicycle, and a café table—gave students a cozy corner to sip, pose, and capture the moment. “Some of those touches even came from my own home,” Ms. Polmann admits. “Ms. O’Driscoll and I also have to be meticulous about staying within our budget, which can be challenging in itself.”
Among the most anticipated moments of the night was the crowning of Prom Royalty. Prom King was Senior Austin Delcid-Reyes, Prom Queen was Senior Claudia Da Mata, Prom Prince was Junior Everett Bell and Prom Princess was Junior Quanya Miller.
Prom King, Austin Delcid-Reyes, describes winning the title as a huge surprise and an incredible achievement. “It totally felt like achieving something big. I didn’t see it coming at all,” he admits. The excitement truly hit when he received a standing ovation from the roaring crowd of staff and students.
For Delcid-Reyes, being prom king meant dancing a lot and enjoying the night to the fullest. “The music was a vibe, especially songs by Kendrick Lamar and the food tasted delicious,” he adds. He fondly recalls dancing in circles with friends Gianna Viso, Caralyn Taylor, Jefeckson Rodriguez and more– making lasting memories.

Delcid-Reyes also reflects on the sense of community felt throughout the night. “There was a real feeling of being unified among students and staff.” One standout moment for him was grabbing the microphone, which he described as “definitely worth it—felt like a WWE moment.” Overall, Austin called the evening unforgettable, a celebration that brought everyone together and left him feeling proud.
Prom Queen Claudia Da Mata was also stunned when her name was called. “I honestly thought it was going to be someone else. I was so shocked—but then I felt this incredible sense of joy,” she recalls.
Her favorite part of the night was reuniting with friends. “We were all hugging and laughing—it felt like a movie. Everyone looked so pretty and happy,” she adds.
Da Mata loved the entire experience. “The food at cocktail hour was amazing, and the decorations were on point. I love anything French, so I can’t complain,” she says. Her look for the evening was inspired by the theme. “I went for that Audrey Hepburn, 1950s movie star vibe—especially from the movie Sabrina since she goes to Paris in it,” she explains.
Prom Princess Quayna Miller said she was “completely shocked and overjoyed” as well when her name was called, her face lighting up with disbelief and gratitude. As the applause echoed around her, the moment sank in, “Being on prom court means I left a mark on students and staff with my joy and ability to make any dull room happy!”
One of Miller’s favorite moments came during the height of the night, when she found herself in the middle of a packed, lively dance circle, surrounded by friends, music, and pure joy. “I want to be remembered as the girl who was the life of the party and, no matter what, found a way to have fun with everyone,” she exclaims.
Prom Prince Everett Bell describes the moment of being crowned as “exciting and unexpected,” especially after learning that teachers had taken part in the voting. “It was cool to be voted for. I feel grateful,” he says, still taking in the applause that surrounded him. “Everyone clapping felt really special.”
In a moment that added both sweetness and humor to the night, Everett recalls being announced as Prom Prince while balancing a plate of dessert—something he says he’ll never forget.

Known for his signature orange shoes that matched his date’s look, Everett brought his usual laid-back charm to the dance floor. “The place was great, the theme was enchanting, and the food was good. I especially liked the throwback songs. It was just a really fun night,” he declares.
Other students echoed the excitement. Junior Logan Malaret said, “Prom was pretty great. The venue had a great selection of food and desserts. My favorite part was dancing with my friends and date. The decorations fit the Paris theme well, and while the music started slow, it picked up and kept us going.”
Junior Paul Cromelin described the night as “amazing.” “The Shirley Temples were my favorite part. I had 16! The food was incredible, and I loved every bit of it.” Though it was his first prom, he rated the venue a “9 out of 10!”
Senior Micaella Fragola called the night “beautiful and refreshing,” sharing how much she appreciated the chance to celebrate with classmates and staff. “My favorite part was relaxing outside with my friends and my date,” she says.
She especially praised the event’s thoughtful execution. “The decorations matched the theme perfectly and were executed so well. The table décor was such an adorable touch,” Fragola notes. “The food was delicious. The variety in cocktail hour was very impressive. The main course was fancy and flavorful without being overbearing. I tried both the eggplant dish and the chicken caprese, and they were excellent. There was plenty of food to go around, and you never had to worry about being hungry.”

Junior Angelina Saad shared that one of her favorite parts of the night was how photogenic the venue was, from the glowing Paris sign to the outdoor patio. Fragola agreed, saying, “The venue was a 10 out of 10—absolutely perfect! The view was amazing and peaceful. It was fun to see everyone dressed up, interacting, and even watching the golfing in the distance. There was plenty of space to sit, both inside and outside, and the photo ops were fantastic.”
This magical night would not have been possible without the support, creativity, and generosity of many. The Junior Class Advisors, Ms. Polmann and Ms. Calasso, along with Student Activities Coordinator Ms. O’Driscoll, extend their thanks to the Artist of the Month students—Ferdinando Morrone, Sarah Valenzuela, Yolande Fall, Charlize Chiovitti, and Zuri Thorn—whose handmade art decorated the venue, evoking the feel of Parisian museums and streets.
Additional thanks go out to the many staff members and administrators who supported the evening by assisting with check-in, photo lines, student monitoring, and cleanup.
From glowing lights and detailed décor to dancing under the “Paris” stars, Prom 2025 at The Park Savoy Estate brought together celebration, community, and creativity. Thanks to the hard work of advisors, students, and the Prom Committee, it was a night everyone will remember.
