Becton Regional High School is proud to announce Mia Natale as February’s Student of the Month.
Natale’s dedication to both her academics and extracurricular activities has set her apart as a model student. From maintaining an impressive academic record to staying involved in various school clubs and sports, Natale continues to demonstrate exceptional work ethic and commitment to her goals.
Natale has taken numerous Honors and AP courses, including Geometry Honors, Algebra 2 Honors, AP World History, APUSH, AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, and AP Biology, among others. Despite the rigorous course load, she manages to stay on top of all her assignments and is always prepared for class. Her hard work has certainly paid off, as Natale has never submitted a late or missing assignment.
“I feel very honored to be named February’s Student of the Month. This means a lot to me because I have worked very diligently over the past four years, and receiving this achievement shows that my dedication and hard work paid off,” Natale shared.
Outside the classroom, Natale is deeply involved in Becton’s extracurriculars. She is a member of the National, Math, and History Honor Societies and actively participates in the Key Club and PAW Club. Additionally, she is a dedicated athlete, competing throughout the year in Girls’ Soccer, as well as Spring and Winter Track and Field.
Natale’s dedication does not stop at her schoolwork and extracurriculars—she also values time spent with her family and friends. By staying on top of her tasks and managing her schedule effectively, she ensures she has time to relax and recharge when needed.
Gracie Taylor, a close friend of Natale’s, shared her thoughts on Natale’s work ethic, “Mia is very hardworking and always puts in the effort to do her best. She balances school and free time really well, making sure she gets everything done while still having time for herself and having a job.”
Taylor also reflected on how Natale has grown throughout her high school years, particularly noting her becoming more confident and responsible. “She takes on challenges without hesitation and has become a great role model to others,” Taylor commended.
Mr. Carr, who taught Natale for several years, had high praise for her work ethic and character as well. “In the three years I had her in class, Mia did not have any missing or late assignments. The assignments were always good, and she was always the first to ask a question on the Summer Assignment,” Mr. Carr said. “Mia has become a complete young woman. She will walk into whatever college she chooses and write her own ticket.”
As for her future plans, Natale plans to attend college and study pre-veterinary medicine with the ultimate goal of becoming a veterinarian. While Natale looks forward to her next chapter, she credits the people at Becton for shaping who she is today. “Meeting all the people here and making new friends from the other towns has been a memorable experience. All these people have provided me with significant development,” she explained.
When it comes to maintaining motivation, Natale advises other students to stay focused and disciplined with their academics while also getting involved in school activities. “Stay focused on your academics, but also make sure to stay involved and manage your time well,” she advises.
We congratulate Mia Natale on being named February’s Student of the Month and wish her all the best as she moves forward in her college journey!
