October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
This October, we honor and support those battling against Breast Cancer.
History about the Month
The event started in October of 1985 through the partnership of the American Cancer Society and the pharmaceutical division of Imperial Chemical Industries. The intentions behind the month are not only to show support to those with the illness, but to encourage women to have mammograms to increase the early detection of the disease.
