Review: Top That Donuts can’t be Topped
February 12, 2020
A family-owned business, Top That Donuts is your next great place to visit!
Opened in February of 2019, the small dessert shop is a popular place to visit for warm, made-in-front of-you doughnuts. The specialty bakery is located at 8 Highland Cross, Rutherford, NJ and is about a 6-minute drive from Becton Regional High School. They also have a second location in Point Pleasant Beach, which means you can enjoy these delicious doughnuts even when you’re down the shore.
With many different toppings and glazes to choose from, you can customize to your heart’s desire. Top That Donuts also offers a variety of coffee and teas. The price for doughnuts ranges from $1.69 from a single donut to $16.99 for a dozen. With a colorful interior, it’s a great place for kids too. In my experience, the price for a single donut is worth every penny. The doughnuts are made in front of you and the toppings could be picked or you could pick one of the specialty doughnuts. The specialty doughnuts change from season to season. I tried “The Hangover”, a maple glazed doughnut with bacon bits and “The Sticky Fingers”, a classic glazed doughnut. My experience going to the shop for the first time was getting waited on very quickly. It did take a little bit of time to get the doughnuts made, but it was worth the wait for them to be fluffy and warm. The customer service was excellent while being friendly and polite, they worked quickly and were patient while I decided what kind of doughnut to get. This will be the hardest choice you make once you step inside because every doughnut looks delicious and the unique flavors are an experience you won’t find at a chain bakery or coffee shop. The possibilities of doughnuts to make are endless. The more I go there, the more I want to try them all. So if you have not yet been to Top That Donuts, be sure to add it to your list. Every bite is worth the hype.
