With a team made up of seniors and sophomores, the 2014 Becton Girls’ Tennis Team is working diligently on improving their skills and competing to the best of their ability.

Senior Captain Rebecca Cruz said, “I hope to continue tennis in college and urge everyone who thinks they may be interested in playing for the team to try out next season.” A dedicated player of four years, Rebecca competes in first singles.

Participating in second singles and third singles, respectively, are Senior Captains Kerry Hadrava and Claudia Horan. Meanwhile, Senior Captain Taylor Mastbeth and Sophomore Francesca Monterosa team up to play first doubles. Senior Jeanette Vivanco and Sophomore Stefany Saltos play second doubles.

Coach Kuhns urges students of any grade to come out for the team next year. This is Mr. Kuhns’ fourth year coaching girls’ tennis, and he will be deeply missed by all of the seniors.
