Thomas & Nazco crowned Homecoming King and Queen

Seniors Anthony “A-Train” Thomas and Memphis Nazco were crowned Homecoming King and Queen on Friday, Sept. 22 at Becton’s Homecoming Game against Wood-Ridge.

Anthony is a four-year Becton Football athlete and participates in activities such as the Robotics Club, Peer Leadership Program and Yearbook Club. “I feel honored that the classes selected me,” he said.

Moreover, Memphis is a four-year varsity cheerleader and track athlete. To compliment her outgoing personality, Memphis contributes to Becton by being an active member of the Girls Helping Girls Club as well as the Key Club. “I was extremely excited to have been announced as the winner,” she stated.

The rest of the court consisted of Jana Christiano, Lauren Kaszka, Greg Anderson and Pritom Barua.

English Teacher and Cheerleading Coach Mrs. Scalera, who helps coordinate the annual high school event, stated, “They’re all great kids, and any candidate that would have won would have been awesome.”
