Spanish Teacher Ms. Ruiz and Art Teacher Ms. Savincki co-taught a lesson about Molas from Panama, Central America to both their Spanish 2 and Art Experiences classes respectively on February 2 and 3.

Ms. Ruiz discussed the culture and origin of the molas from the Kuna tribe.  She also shared some of her authentic samples.

Ms. Savincki spoke about technique and introduced some design ideas for the hands-on project.

The students enjoyed creating their own personal molas using oil pastels and symbols that were related to their personal interests.
