Mr. Maucione is newest addition to East Rutherford BOE
Special Education Teacher Mr. Maucione has been inducted into the East Rutherford Board of Education on January 3.
“I am excited to take on this new challenge and learn from those around me,” he said.
Being a member of the East Rutherford Board of Education is really important to Mr. Maucione due to the fact that he has lived in town his entire life. He feels that the children and their education are the most important part of the community.
As a part of the ERBOE, Mr. Maucione has no plans on changing anything specifically but instead hopes to be part of a team that collaborates and makes decisions in the best interest of the children.
“My most important goal is to help and provide every child in the East Rutherford School District with the tools, education and confidence to allow them to achieve their goals,” said the Becton teacher.
As he joins the East Rutherford Board of Education, he hopes to be part of an environment that focuses on making decisions that are positive, educationally sound, responsible and in the best interest of the adolescents and the residents of the East Rutherford community.
“Being an educator in East Rutherford gives me great pride, and I hope to use my professional experience to help share my educationally sound ideas,” he said.
He continued to note that working as a teacher, coach and volunteer in this community has helped Mr. Maucione develop many relationships with the parents and children of East Rutherford.
