Ms. Pantikova is a new career and technology instructor who recently joined the Becton Regional High School staff.

Born and raised in Slovakia, she then later moved to the United States. Growing up, Mrs. Pantikova always saw herself teaching and working with children. Later on, she found interest in the business world but still wished to continue teaching, so she came up with the plan to do both.

Ms. Pantikova first worked in marketing and banking and then later on in her career, she decided to teach. She wanted to be able to inform students about the business world; however, she wanted to be able to have firsthand experience in it. She felt it was important that she did not teach out of a book, so for her, getting the hands on experience would help her give students a better understanding about what the business world really entails.

Also, Ms. Pantikova noted that the business industry is always changing and a book may not always be reliable, so getting that experience was surely going to keep students up to date with what goes on in the marketing and entertainment world.

The business teacher attended Baruch College and St. John’s University in New York City and earned a finance degree. After college, she went on to work for major businesses and banks. She has worked for Deutsche Bank and for BMW. After gaining so much experience, she became a teacher in hopes to inspire students to pursue a career in business.

Mrs. Pantikova said she “enjoys working at such a nice school and alongside a great staff and teaching such lovely students.”

She is very passionate about business, feels very lucky to have been given the opportunity to be able to work both in the business field and being able to teach career and technology classes, and hopes to inspire students to take the same career path she took.
