Newest tech prototype allows phone use on arms
January 19, 2015
How would you react if you saw someone check their phone directly on their arm? Yes, people may be literally able to check their phone on their wrist using the Cicret Bracelet.
The newly designed Cicret Bracelet is still in the process of being built as multiple prototypes have been drawn up. The creators are asking for a donation of $1,000,000 dollars in order to successfully create the first prototype of the bracelet as well as the Cicret application that goes along with it. The Cicret Bracelet will retail for between $399 and $600 when released.
This Android based technology uses all the same hardware required to run Android applications. The bracelet uses a pictoprojector and when a human’s finger is placed over the projection, it sends a signal back to the bracelet and then the device.
“It’s interesting. It’s state of the art and a nice portable way of using technology. It seems comfortable and good looking, and most of all compatible with most ages,” said Senior Peter Popkowski.
Senior Pasquale Parella explained, “This new technology will change everything. It is something never seen before and once released; I definitely believe that I will own one.”
In recent months, wearable technology has taken over all top selling spots in the tech departments. Google Glass was one of the first released followed by the Apple Watch that is being sold in every major tech store. Google Glass displays information in a Smartphone like hands free format. The creation of these hands free devices is the newest way technology is taking over the average smartphone user because people would like to be able to use these devices while riding a bike, jogging, and even in order to multitask in their work place.
