Analise Feliz is officially the first player in Becton history who has crashed the boards with 1,000 rebounds!
The senior describes her feelings of accomplishment and gratitude, “Being the first player in Becton history to get 1,000 rebounds is an amazing feeling. I am so proud of myself. I have proved to myself that with hard work and dedication, I will be able to achieve anything I set my mind to. This accomplishment also proves that you don’t have to tower over everybody to grab a rebound. I am not the tallest on the court so I know I have to out-hustle my opponent, it’s all about the hustle.”
Feliz explains that she does not always focus directly on rebounding, yet sees it as a vital part of the game, “I believe everyone should be boxing out their man and rebound. Offensive rebounds are important because you have another chance to score. I can either put the ball back up or I can kick it out to my teammate who can attempt another shot or we can reset and run a play.”
Feliz has a few drills that she feels help her prepare before games, “We run a few boxing out drills at practice. We would have one person as the offense shoot and the defensive player needs to box out the shooter, and if she gets the ball, we all run. Another drill is there would be 5 girls in the paint in a circle and 5 girls around the 3 point line, and the girls in the paint jog in a circle, and when Coach Ryan shoots the ball, the girls find the closest girl and box her out to make sure the ‘offense’ does not get the rebound.” These drills help Feliz and her teammates stay disciplined and ready to compete on the court.
Coach Ryan has endless praise for this outstanding player, “Analise leadership comes from her actions, not her words. She has a motor that never shuts down, and this inspires her teammates.” When a big defensive stop or rebound is needed, she is always ready! Described as tenacious, Feliz practices this determination in everything she partakes in.

Mr. Ryan also attests, “Analise sets the pace at practice and the games, the team knows they can count on her to bring heat to the opposing team. As a coach, I can always count on Analise to give 100% which makes it hard for her teammates not to follow her lead.”
Feliz reaching 1,000 rebounds truly is an astonishing accomplishment. Coach Ryan inputs, “Analise’s accomplishment of 1,000 rebounds is a record of true grit. To reach 1,000 rebounds, you have to be a relentless player with a desire to outwork your opponent. If you understand basketball, you realize that getting 1,000 is an unbelievable accomplishment that has never been done at this high school.”
Her coach reflects on Analise’s impact on the court, emphasizing the respect she earns from opponents. “Opposing coaches on many occasions this season came up to me after the game and said that #3 is fun to watch as she plays, not because she scores the most points but because of her relentless style. Analise’s will to be the best at what she does makes me proud to be her coach.”
Feliz embodies this determination, expressing her commitment to the team’s success: “A goal for the team right now is to be in the finals for states,” she shares, showcasing her team-first mentality.
She also offers advice to incoming players, encouraging them to embrace challenges with confidence. “I would tell younger players to believe in the impossible because everything is possible if you really want it and have the heart to do it. Always play with intensity, maintain a positive attitude, and always believe in yourself!”
Congratulations Analise!
