Becton High School proudly celebrates Megan Rodriguez as March’s Artist of the Month, recognizing her exceptional talent, dedication, and creativity in the realm of art.
According to Rodriguez’s art teacher, Mrs. Dawn Savincki, the Artist of the Month reflects qualities such as hard work, self-motivation, and creativity. Mrs. Savincki expressed her confidence in Rodriguez’s selection, citing her “exceptional observational skills and effort in her work.”
Rodriguez is a committed student with a diverse set of interests. She is a part of the Environmental, Horticulture, Multicultural, Images, and History Club. In her free time, she also enjoys listening to music, decorating, and taking walks at parks.
Rodriguez’s dedication is evident in her diverse portfolio, which includes graphite and colored pencil works, as well as projects demonstrating excellence in value studies and observational drawing. Mrs. Savincki praised Rodriguez’s commitment to producing high-quality work and her openness to challenges and constructive criticism.
Reflecting on her achievement, Rodriguez expressed her surprise and joy, attributing her success to her meticulous attention to detail in projects such as her “nuts and bolts” drawing and folder. She credits her teacher, Mrs. Savincki, for her growth and improvement as an artist.
While Rodriguez may not pursue art as a career, her passion for creativity continues. She leaves powerful advice to artists who would like to have success, “Always try to make art enjoyable!”
As Megan Rodriguez takes her well-deserved place as Becton High’s Artist of the Month, she serves as an inspiration to her peers. Congratulations to Megan on this remarkable achievement– we look forward to witnessing her continued growth and success.
