September 28, 2016
With a new girls’ soccer head coach, Wojciech Wilwinski, and a new assistant coach, Ashley Dlugosh, the Becton Girls’ Soccer Team is currently holding a winning record.
The record for the varsity team is currently 4 wins and 2 ties without any losses. Furthermore, the JV team holds a record of 1 win. The girls noted that they hope to use their winning momentum to defeat the remaining teams.
As for their season goal, they want to become a better team than last year. They took time out to recognize the problems with last year’s team and are trying their best to improve them.
The captains of the team are seniors Katelyn Leach along with Rebecca Fabijanczuk from Wallington. “Rebecca and I really wanted to make our last year a great one, and so far it is working well,” Katelyn said.
For this season, the team has gained a number new players. “With the help of some talented freshmen, I can see that this season is going to be a great one,” Katelyn added.
