Ms. D Polmann

Ms. D Polmann, Advisor

Ms. Polmann is advising her second year of Journalism, and is loving every second of it! Ms. Polmann is a Becton Alumni that has come back to teach English and Journalism at Becton. She is not only the Newspaper Advisor, but she is also a Cheerleading Coach and the Student Council Advisor. Polmann graduated from Becton in 2016 near the top ten of her class and was very involved in many extra-curricular activities during her time at Becton. That definitely has not changed, because Polmann is driven and passionate about making Becton an even greater experience for her own students. In regards to Journalism specifically, Polmann is concentrated and dedicated to improving the journalism class experience year-to-year by teaching academic, social, and professional skills to her students. Polmann shares with enthusiasm, "If I stop learning, they stop learning!" Polmann graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor's Degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing. She prides herself on her individuality, commitment, and spirit-- especially the Wildcat kind. In her spare time, Polmann indulges in retail therapy, eats overwhelmingly large Italian meals with her family, and spends precious time with the very same friend group she graduated from Becton with back in 2016. Finally, Polmann is elated and humbled to be back at her home and be a part of her community in a constantly charged, and very special, light.
