Kicking off a great season, the Becton Varsity Football Team is back at it again. The group of boys started with a blowout win over Emerson beating them 44-23.

Senior Nick Barbo, first year starting quarterback stated, “We are looking forward to the Secaucus game as well as the black out game.” In regards to this game, the Becton Wildcats caused the Patriots to shed tears as they ran them off their own field beating them 30-6.

When the same question was asked of Senior Joe Penna, all that was said was “Revenge on Heights!” The following week after the Secaucus game, once again our very own football team put a show on giving a beat down to Hasbrouck Heights beating them 21-7.

To recap last season, Seniors Giuseppe Giraldo received First Team All League at defensive end, Joe Penna earned First Team All League at wide receiver, and Greg Dickman was awarded First Team All League at kicker. Senior Roy Forys earned an impressive Second Team All League at linebacker as well as Third Team Group I All State Defense.
