The Becton community is always proud to honor students that continuously commit to their schoolwork; therefore, those that made honor roll at least one marking period from marking periods one and two were invited to a breakfast and were excused from their first class of the day this past February 18.

For the first half of the 2015-2016 school year, approximately 35 percent of the student body earned honor roll status.

“I’m very proud. It takes dedication and perseverance to be consistent with school,” said Supervisor of Guidance Ms. Internicola.

At this year’s breakfast, certificates were awarded along with stylus pens engraved with the words “Honor Roll Student Becton Regional High School”.

Overall, students seemed very pleased with how the breakfast went.

“I thought it went smoothly, and the students seemed to be engaged with their friends,” stated Ms. Internicola. Moreover, students were seen studying together, and she thought it was nice for them to have some downtime.

The Becton administration is open to any new ideas and suggestions for the upcoming honor roll breakfasts. They would love to hear input from students about the previous breakfasts in order to make the upcoming ones more eventful. They always want to make sure the students are being rewarded; therefore, they want to make the breakfasts the best they can be in order to continue to honor those dedicated award recipients.
