The halfway mark for Becton Bowling’s season approaches rapidly as Coach Caprio and Senior Captain Brian Byun prepare the rest of the team for the final stretch.

Coach Caprio stated, “I’m happy how we are bowling so far. Two sophomores Andrew Park and Bobby Emord are in the varsity starting lineup. Newcomer Vinny Kuprat is bowling very well at the JV level, and I am looking forward to a promising second half of the season.”

Andrew Park leads the way with an average of 155, followed close behind by Brian Byun with a 148. Bobby Emord holds the high score of the season with an impressive 216. Brian Byun’s personal best is 200, and Senior Adam Venturini’s high score is 192.

Coach Caprio noted, “I am looking forward to the first game of the second half [of the season] as we face Lyndhurst. We will get a crack at the best, and maybe we can take down the Bear.” Brian Byun added, “We want Lyndhurst. We are ready and up for that challenge.”

Brian expressed, “We came into this season with a young team. It took us a couple of matches to click, but I believe we have improved drastically, and we are up for whatever challenges we may face. I am looking forward to our future matches and looking forward to having a chance at States.”
